Guide to Using Candela Lights at Home

Candela lights are beautiful and innovative lights that are fully portable, rechargeable, and produce the same warmth and glow that only candlelight used to possess.

Mood Lighting

Candela lights are excellent – perhaps even best – for mood lighting. You can use them in bedrooms in tandem with scented oils to create a soothing and tranquil atmosphere that’s perfect after a hard day at work.

They also work great even in bathrooms, comfort rooms, and showers. As candela lights are wireless, you won’t have to worry about them being an electrical hazard in areas that have operate water sources.

But best of all, candela lights are just as effective in the dining and living room. Their exceptional designs allow them to create intimate spaces even in the largest and most public areas in your home.

Accent Lighting

Candela lights can also provide accent lighting. For those who aren’t aware of what accent lighting is, this refers to the type of lighting designed to draw attention to any visual highlights in a given area. It could be the most prized artwork or most cherished photograph in your living room. It could even be the borders of your wallpaper if you think they’re that special.

Accent lighting may also be required outdoors for your pool area or garden. You may use it to draw attention to nocturnal blossoms or whatever it is that you believe your guests would be most appreciative of seeing.

Ornamental Lighting

Certainly, candela lights can also serve as ornamental or decorative lighting. In this sense, you are treating your lighting fixtures as an element of décor or ornament itself for the room.

If you are considering using candela lights as decorative lighting, you need to make sure that your choices match or complement the overall theme of the house. A kiddie-styled candela light would naturally stick out like a sore thumb in a classically designed room that’s dominated by gilded Queen Anne chairs, Ming vases, and an ivory center table.

A children’s playroom or bedroom, on the other hand, would be the perfect setting for such lights. You can mount them on walls or place them on the desk.

Functional and General Lighting

In some cases, candela lights may also serve as general and functional lighting. But ultimately it depends on just how much light you prefer or need. The golden glow of candela lights may be pleasing to the eye but they cannot be entirely effective to help you debone a fish. On the other hand, a candela light may be more than enough if you only want to read your child a bedtime story.

Are Candela lights usable with Australian voltage (240 volts)? Or is some adapter needed…?
